Happy Friday, I.C. Families,

October is Disability Awareness Month, and one of our awareness events is to have our students and staff have a Wear Orange Day to spread awareness about Disability Awareness Month.

Today, representatives from the Aspen Network presented to our students about managing big emotions, resisting peer pressure, and the characteristics of being a good friend. Our students did a great job of participating and being respectful of our presenters.

For our families who use our parent pick up line, please remember that you should not start lining up behind our building for any reason before 2:35 at the earliest. Too many of our families are lining up earlier, and it is affecting traffic flow on Windsor Harbor Road as well as Highway 61-67.  There are also days on which it affects middle school bus and pick up traffic.

If you need to arrive to parent pick up before 2:35, please park in our parking lot until 2:35 and then pull around back to start lining up for parent pick up.  The traffic issues have the potential to affect emergency vehicle traffic as well as being an incredible inconvenience for our neighbors, for visiting athletic teams, and for our middle school and high school families.  Please be considerate of all of the people who are affected by clogging up traffic.

Tonight from 6-8 PM are both the Cub Scout Pack 416 Trunk or Treat in the I.C. parking lot as well as the WMS Leadership Fall Festival in the middle school gym.  The Trunk or Treat is a free event while the Fall Festival has a fee at the door. Both events will be super fun for your kids.
